What better way is there to grow a child’s love of the great outdoors than to give them the gift of getting out on their own local river?

Our weeklong, full-day summer camp program in Saxapahaw for kids aged 8-16 is all about nurturing a love of nature through hands-on learning and play. Campers will learn all about their local river ecosystem, as well as how to paddle a variety of watercrafts, from stand-up paddleboards to tandem canoes. Your kids will also learn boat rescue and river safety, plant identification, river monitoring techniques, teamwork skills, and more!

We have 9 sessions available this year, alternating between separate weeks for Acorns (ages 8 to 11) and Oaks (ages 12 to 16). Weeks for Acorns will feature more hiking, crafts, and exploration, while weeks for Oaks will put a greater emphasis on paddling skills and on-water adventures🛶
